KOTA KINABALU: Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia (MetMalaysia) telah mengeluarkan amaran ribut petir dan hujan berterusan di kebanyakan kawasan di Sabah sehingga jam 6.00 petang, hari ini.<\/p>\n

MetMalaysia melalui satu kenyataan yang dikeluarkan pada 3.20 petang memaklumkan antara kawasan yang terlibat iaitu di Pantai Barat Sabah seperti Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran dan Kota Belud dan Kudat. <\/p>\n

\u201cAmaran dikeluarkan apabila berlakunya ribut petir yang disertai hujan lebat dengan intensiti melebihi 20mm\/jam dan angin kencang dijangka berlaku di kawasan tersebut dalam tempoh satu jam atau lebih.<\/p>\n

\u201cPenduduk dinasihatkan untuk mengambil langkah berjaga-jaga, terutamanya bagi mengelakkan risiko banjir kilat, tanah runtuh, dan pokok tumbang,\u201d katanya.<\/p>\n

Tambahnya, amaran ribut petir ini adalah amaran jangka pendek yang sah dalam tempoh tidak melebihi enam jam dari masa ia dikeluarkan.<\/p>\n
