PENAMPANG: Lelaki tempatan berdepan hukuman mati selepas disyaki terlibat dalam kegiatan pengedaran dadah menerusi Op Tapis yang dijalankan Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Penampang.<\/p>\n

Suspek berusia 25 tahun itu ditahan dalam serbuan di Jalan Pantai Berahi, Putatan semalam oleh Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik Daerah (BSJND) IPD Penampang.<\/p>\n

Ketua Polis Daerah Penampang, Superintendan Sammy Newton berkata, hasil pemeriksaan ke atas suspek menemui enam paket plastik lutsinar berisi ketulan mampat dedaun kering disyaki ganja.<\/p>\n

\u201cJumlah keseluruhan rampasan dianggarkan seberat 641.82 gram dengan nilai sekitar RM1,890.<\/p>\n

\u201cKes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 39B Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952 yang memperuntukkan hukuman mati atau penjara seumur hidup serta sebatan tidak kurang 12 kali, jika sabit kesalahan,\u201d katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.<\/p>\n

Beliau berkata, pihak polis tidak akan berkompromi terhadap mana-mana individu yang terlibat dalam aktiviti penyalahgunaan dan pengedaran dadah.<\/p>\n

\u201cUsaha membanteras jenayah dadah akan terus dipergiat bagi memastikan keselamatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat sentiasa terpelihara.<\/p>\n
